Terms

Last updated: 28 October 2026

DPDP Notice Kit is run by Vedacta. By using the site you accept these terms.

Information, not legal advice

The kit writes a privacy notice with the parts Rule 3 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 names, from your answers, and the pages explain what the Act and the Rules say, citing the section or rule. This is general information, not legal advice. Whether your answers are true and complete, whether you need more than a notice (consent records, security safeguards, breach procedures, contracts with processors) and how you put the notice to use are your responsibility. Ask a lawyer before relying on it for a decision that matters.

The notices in Indian languages are fixed sentences whose legal words come from official Government of India sources, recorded per language. They are not official translations of the Act or the Rules.

The Indian-language notices (paid)

The English notice and its downloads are free. The notices in the other languages, and the page with every language, open with a one-time purchase at the price shown on the page; there is no subscription. It is sold by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, who takes the payment, charges any tax due and sends the receipt; Dodo's terms apply to the payment. The purchase unlocks the kit in the browser you unlock it in, for your own business, with no limit on how often you write a notice; the payment ID on your receipt, with the email address you paid with, unlocks further browsers of your business. Do not pass them on to others.

Refunds: if the kit does not help you, reply to your receipt email within 14 days of the purchase for a full refund, no reason needed. A refund ends the unlock. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are not affected.

Liability

The site and its free tools are provided without warranty of accuracy or completeness. For the paid kit, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the price paid and excludes indirect loss. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

Use of the site

You may use the tools freely and link to the pages. The notices you write are yours to publish. Do not disrupt the site or use it for unlawful purposes.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Bengaluru having jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections. Contact: contact@vedacta.com.
